Art and Design Lobster Themed Calendar Competition

Calling all artists, photographers, sculptures, expressives and creative minds! Dive into the depths of your imagination and join our Art and Design Lobster Themed Calendar Competition 2025!

We're thrilled to announce the return of our spring/summer Calendar competition, and this time, it's all about celebrating the beauty of lobsters and Whitby's mesmerizing seascape.

What's in it for you? The winners will not only snag some fabulous Whitby Lobster Hatchery Merchandise but also get the opportunity to showcase their masterpiece in our 2025 calendar, associated with the esteemed Whitby Lobster Hatchery. Plus, your contribution will directly support our conservation efforts, education initiatives, and crucial research on the European Lobster!

Open to all ages, we invite you to unleash your creativity and craft a stunning piece inspired by lobsters, the Whitby Lobster Hatchery, or the picturesque Whitby coastline. Just remember to stick to the guidelines: A4 landscape format, one entry per participant, and keep it clean—no profanity, please!

To submit your masterpiece, simply email your entry to wlh.amber@gmail.com before the END OF JULY 2024. Our dedicated team, led by Amber, will carefully select the winners and curate the designs to feature in our 2025 calendar.

Need some inspiration to get those creative juices flowing? Here are a few ideas to ignite your imagination: Lobsters adorned in holiday attire for Christmas, romance-inspired lobsters for St. Valentine's, spooky Halloween-themed lobsters, egg-carrying lobsters for Easter, luck-bringing St. Patrick's Day lobsters, Gothic-inspired weekend lobsters, and lobsters celebrating the vibrant Whitby Regatta.

You can also explore detailed depictions of Whitby's iconic attractions, delve into intricate drawings or paintings of lobsters and the lobster hatchery, or capture the essence of Whitby's stunning seascape and sandy beaches. 

To clarify, all entries must be completed and emailed to wlh.amber@gmail.com by END OF JULY 2024.
